After 51 pounds, I lost count…

Field trip day!

Due to the vehicle situation I can only use the car at my leisure on the weekends. I took that opportunity to take the boys apple picking. We usually go to Bush Neck Farms in Williamsburg but a poor crop turned our eyes to Carter Mountain Orchard outside of Charlottesville. Can I just say 1) it actually is up a mountain (a steep one at that) and 2) we had an awesome day.

We picked Stayman, Pink Lady and Granny Smith Apples. We had to make a few trips to the car but me and the boys had a great time. Sullivan even got in on the festivities and picked a few himself. We took a hayride as well, but opted out of the massive sized pumpkins. I ran out of room in the car to be honest.

I am going to bookmark the orchard, they also do peaches, cherries and strawberries in the warmer months.
